Brandels new work is vulnerable, in a human-cannonball sort of way. This show can be disorientating enough that when you leave you’re likely to find yourself in the broom closet. ‘Falling’ is a new series of large format oil paintings from the studio of one of Canada’s brightest newly discovered talents. The first venue for this work will be held at Gallery 378 in Nelson for the month of March.

The Nelson Dances of Universal Peace circle presents an afternoon for families. Children are always welcome in our monthly dance circles, but this special event will focus on their interests and needs. We will include dances that appeal to children and will plan around their limited attention spans. That said, everyone is welcome, including children of all ages! We truly have much to learn from each other.

No experience or partner is required – the dances are easy to learn and are taught to the whole group each time. Bring non-marking indoor shoes and a water bottle. By donation.

The Dances of Universal Peace are a moving meditation practice involving simple movements and music shared in a circle.
