He has taught world musics at University of Colorado for 40 years and is a performer on many instruments such as Tama drum, Arabic Oud and Ney, Dumbec, Irish Pennywhistle and Bodhran.

Since 1976, Max Hawk has been representing his blend of folk, country and bluegrass. He will be backed up with dobro, mandolin and upright bass.

The Dances of Universal Peace are a moving meditation practice shared with others in a circle. A leader, supported by musicians, teaches participants a chant and dance movements. Soon, the circle is singing and moving together, deepening into the meditation. There are no performers or audience. New arrivals and old hands form the dance circle together. All are welcome. No partner or experience necessary. Dances are easy to learn and are taught to the whole group each time.

Admission is by donation. Bring non-marking indoor footwear and a water bottle.
