Stephanie Dawson

Stephanie Dawson studied theatre at George Brown College in Toronto Ontario, and has acted in plays and television documentaries shot in Vancouver, as well as two short films shot in Nelson B.C. She has appeared in magazines such as, Toronto Magazine, Maclean’s, Equinox, and Impact, which led to wobbling on the fashion show runways in T.O.

Always willing to experiment with various mediums, and to experience life to the fullest, Stephanie is currently a weekly Arts and Entertainment columnist and business profile writer for the Nelson Daily News, listings editor for The Weekender, as well as a mother, early childhood educator, teaching assistant, performer, musician, dancer, and songwriter living in Nelson, B.C.

To all who know her, Stephanie is fiercely outspoken and passionate about artists, musicians, writers, actors, and craftspeople making a living with their art. The stories of Kootenay artists are shared with a desire to inspire others to live a more “artful” existence.
