Body-Mapping Workshop
Written by: Local Practitioners
Nov. 13 & 14, 2010
Body-Mapping is a combination of art and narrative therapy that originated in South Africa. It is an internationally recognized method of exploring the emotional and physical impact of HIV on the body and discussing treatment information.
Body-Mapping techniques are introduced in this workshop as self-reflective tools that can be used to address a broad range of body concerns, such as body trauma, illness, and self-image.
All bodies have a story. This experiential workshop is a 2 day personal exploration of the body’s journey using art and narrative therapy. Participants will create a body tracing and spend the 2 days in creative response to a series of directives.
