Hello Nelson from Carolyn Mark! We’re coming to pet your illegal dogs, drink your fine coffee and smoke your world famous weed! Join Juno-nominated West Coast Boozy Chanteuse Carolyn Mark and her Gentlemen Callers- Jack Grace of NEW YORK CITY!!! and Luther Wright of Kingston, ONT (Did he go to college or did he go to prison?) All 3 artists are genius song writers and witty performers! Also in the band that night will be the lovely Terri Upton (formerly of the Gruff, Beekeeper) on the standing bass. Ali & Johnny at Touchstones Nelson

French-American-Canadian duo Ali & Johnny bring their extensive classical training to the Kootenays for a concert at Touchstones Nelson. The duo takes music they love and creates new arrangements for their own instruments, clarinet and violin. The unique program will blend duos from the classical repertoire spanning four centuries with folk tunes from Hungary, Spain, Sweden and Canada.

Violinist Ali Luthmers and clarinetist Johnny Teyssier graduated from the Colburn School of Music in LA in 2011. Their careers will soon be taking them to Sweden, where Johnny will play with the Malmö Symphony Orchestra. They are thrilled to be spending time in the Kootenays with Ali’s family, longtime residents of Nelson.

Admission is by donation.

Perhaps you knew them as Jesse Dee and Jackie B and perhaps you thought they were a fantastic little duo with beautifully paired vocals and a unique sound. Well they’re now called Picture the Ocean and their still just as fantastic and we’re very exicted to have them perform at the Royal! Folk songstress Rhoneil will open the show.

EDLF is celebrating their 10 yr anniversary with a lingerie fashion show unlike any other… Join us for a sexy, sparkling showcase of glamorous lingerie, gorgeous models, delicious cocktail specials, raw oyster bar, & tunes by DJ Sturdy.

This event is a fundraiser for Rehma Project, a youth development charity in Kenya founded by local Nikole MacGregor, so there are going to be tons of amazing prizes. Kick off summer with a lingerie party you’ll never forget courtesy of Esprit de la Femme & The Royal!

…Zeus is coming to The Royal on May 29 and we are counting the days in eager anticipation.

Zeus is a Toronto-based Canadian indie rock band signed to the Arts & Crafts record label. Its members include Rob Drake, Carlin Nicholson, Mike O’Brien, and Neil Quin. In addition to recording and performing the music of Zeus, the band also serves as the backing band for Canadian musician Jason Collett.

The Darcys will open.
