Karyn graduated the Massage Therapy program of the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 1999. She’s a member of the Massage Therapists Association of B.C. and is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of B.C.

After a thriving 14 year practice in Salmo and Ymir, B.C. Karyn has joined the community of Nelson providing service to new clients and dedicated clients from Nelson and surrounding rural areas. She has worked along side other healthcare providers including acupuncturists and chiropractors and currently offers her services on Wednesday’s along side Kevin McKenzie at Community Chiropractics.

The name, Inner Vision, was inspired by the way that Karyn, being totally blind, uses her “inner vision” to help facilitate health and wellness for her clients. Her work employs a variety of modalities including deep tissue work, fascial release, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, trigger point therapy, frictioning and stripping techniques and relaxation massage for over all stress reduction and holistic wellbeing.  Karyn specializes in deeper tissue massage treatments but will customize therapy and pressure depending on each individual need.

Massage Therapy can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions –  Karyn works with youth, seniors and everyone in between. She’s skilled in working with maternity and infant massage and is also registered with ICBC and WCB for insurance coverages.

The Inner Vision approach to health care is a holistic one, adapting each treatment to suit the specific needs of each client.  Karyn creates a safe and comfortable environment for clients to explore all of these areas within themselves. All treatments are conducted in a professional environment and are completely confidential.

Besides being effective in the treatment of many conditions, Massage Therapy is also good preventative medicine. A safe and nurturing drug free therapy, regular massage can add to anyone’s sense of well being.
