Bakery

When you enter the Bakery you will discover the bustle of one of Nelson’s favorite meeting and eating places. We are not only a Bakery but also a Café, Coffee Shop, Juice Bar and Workers Co-op all rolled into one. Our all-vegetarian food is prepared from scratch using mostly organic, usually local and always fresh ingredients. We offer amazing traditional bakery fare as well as many items which are wheat-free, egg-free, gluten-free, yeast-free, fat-free or dairy-free (but not necessarily at the same time).

Eat in our bright cheerful café where local artwork is prominently displayed or carry out. You can call ahead to place an order if you know what you’d like. There are fresh soups, sandwiches, salads, pizzas available as well as regular specials. The organic coffee is locally roasted and the juices made to order. Decadent desserts and delicious pastries fill the case while a variety of wholesome breads rest on wooden shelves. Stop by when you’re in town!
