The search for delicious starts here! Walking down the 300 block of Baker Street, you will notice large windows opening on brightly coloured walls that are hung with local artwork. Inside is the bustle of one of Nelson's favourite meeting and eating places. Stay or take away fresh soups, sandwiches, salads, pizzas or other tasty lunch specials. The organic coffee is locally roasted and juices are made to order. Decadent desserts fill the pastry case and wholesome breads rest on wooden shelves. All of the food is prepared from scratch using mostly organic, often local and alway fresh ingredients. In addition there are wonderful foods throughout the shop for those with special dietary needs. Stop by when you're in town!

The Preserved Seed Cafe invites you for something out of the ordinary, a little out of the way, and worth looking for! We serve a variety of home style soups, salads, sandwiches and more. Our drinks definitely lean toward the South American with Brazilian Yerba Mate given the top spot. Renowned for its healthful and energizing attributes, we have developed a variety of great tasting versions, both hot and cold.

We are open weekly from 11am Monday morning until Friday 3pm, 24 hours a day. There is always a place to go! You will find us at the dead end of Fall street by Speedy Glass off Baker Street, on the covered stairway. For great food in a refreshing atmosphere, come on down! We look forward to seeing you!
