Sunwater Presents Winter Courses in Compassionate Communication and an Evening Presentation on Creating Workplaces and Organizations Where People Thrive  Compassionate Communication (Nonviolent Communication, NVC) Courses
With Certified Nonviolent Communication Trainers Eric Bowers and Melody Greger

The Heart Of Compassionate Communication Facilitated by Melody Greger. Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30.  Starts Feb. 11th, 8 weeks   This course is for people who would like to experience greater compassion and peace in their daily life and relationships. Learn the foundational principles & practical skills of Compassionate Communication (NVC).  Course topics include:  -Deeper understanding and trust in relationships  -Expressing yourself and listening to others    without blame or judgement~ empathy -Transforming emotional reactions and    responding more effectively to anger -Growing your ability to resolve conflict with your   family, friends, co-workers, and in your community
Deepening the Compassionate Communication Process Facilitated by Eric Bowers.  Mondays, 6:30-8:30.  Starts Feb. 09, 8 weeks  This course is for people who already have the basics of NVC. We will further develop self-awareness, self-empowerment, and a needs-based consciousness of connection.  Course topics include:  -Building NVC fluency/Staying in the dialogue -Deepening Empathy Skills -Transforming the pain of unmet needs -The Living Energy of Needs -Use of the “NVC Dancefloors” -Other topics will be based on the needs and requests from course participants  Requested Contribution: $200. Evening Presentation

Creating Workplaces and Organizations Where People Thrive
Facilitated by Eric Bowers.  Friday, Jan. 30, 6:30 - 8:30pm.  Cost: $10
Location: A Balanced Path- 523 Josephine St. and Baker,  2nd Floor.

This evening presentation will touch on needs-based systemic change; self-organizing systems; shared purpose; the “I”, “You”, and “We” within a needs-based system; and an overview of Nonviolent Communication and Dynamic Self-Governance.  We will also play with self-organizing out of chaos.
