Nelson Food Cupboard: Hungry Bowls Fundraiser, Tuesday May 6, 12-2pm

The Nelson Food Cupboard is a barrier-free food bank open to the public three days per week. We feed 600 – 1000 customers per month and aim to meet their diverse family and dietary needs with healthy foods.

Our next fund raising activity, the Hungry Bowls Spring Luncheon Fund Raiser, will be held on Tuesday, May 6th from 12 – 2pm at the Hume Hotel. This fund raiser is a partnership with the Kootenay School of the Arts at Selkirk College, the Hume Hotel & many of Nelson’s food businesses. For the second year in a row, KSA clay students have donated 90 beautiful hand made bowls for the event. Lunch guests get to choose a bowl, choose from soups, snacks & desserts for lunch, and then take their bowls home with them when they leave. Tickets are $35 and RSVPs are a must. To reserve a spot, please contact Marya at foodcupboard@shawbiz.ca or call 354-1633.
