The Sacred Play Series: Awakening the Wonder of Your Personal Mystery
Five Sunday Afternoons, 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. – January 11th 18th, then February 1st, 8th, 15th, 2008
Week One – January 11, 2009: Re-imagining the Tarot Symbols, Remembering the Language of Your Soul
Tarot symbols have a reputation of being an esoteric knowledge held by a few. They aren’t! Tarot symbols, as symbols in general, are the visual language of your inner world, the realm of Soul. Symbols are a portal to your memory of the mystery & magic of life & the greater dance of which we each are a part. Surprise yourself & enjoy discovering what you already know about this valuable tool for personal growth & awakening consciousness.
Week Two – January 18, 2009: Soul Path Mythology, Reflecting on Your Personal Path and Purpose
There is a myth in the Tarot that the day you are born has significance beyond your astrological orientation. Your birth date also reveals your Soul Path, an eternal Self that holds the deep focus of your purpose & meaning. Explore this mythology experientially in a fun & informative way as you join with a your community of fellow Soul mates.
Week Three – February 1, 2009: Soul Paths on the Tree of Life, Understanding Your Personal Journey
& Supporting the Paths of Others
This week we look more profoundly into the relevance of your Soul Path to this time in our history, so full of transformative potential that staying asleep is not a sustainable option. The story of the Tree of Life, like the Mayan Calendar, is one that maps the human journey from our centuries of childhood into the maturity of both personal integrity & collective unity so needed in our world today. We each have our part to play.
Week Four – February 8, 2009: The Medicine Wheel Practice in The Mystery School
Fire, Earth, Water and Air are elemental threads that weave our lives into existence. This afternoon, we do a medicine walk through the elements & discover the mysterious beauty of creation within each other & ourselves. Bring balance into your world. This practice is a central feature of a Nelson community-based Mystery School that is scheduled to begin in the Fall of 2009.
Week Five – February 15, 2009: A Tarot Reading for the Community of Nelson
A spiritual teacher from India visiting the Kootenays said once that our region would be a “birthplace of a new civilization”. That’s a powerful vision for our community to consider when we come together. This afternoon, we are going to do an experiment. From those gathered, members of our community will represent us by choosing symbols relevant to awakening this collective potential. Carol will lay these symbols out in a traditional Celtic Cross pattern & interpret these symbols to offer us perspective, inspiration, & vision for our participation in our community in this coming year.
Carol Stewart is gifted in the use of symbols to awaken the richness, wisdom, & meaning of everyday life.
