Release your inner “Wild Child” at Stone Age Camp for Kids this July! Learn connected awareness, natural movement, instinctual action, cedar bark basketry, shelter building, fire from sticks, edible and medicinal plants, “primitive” cooking, birch bark cup, coal burned utensils, Paiute deadfall trap, tracking, stalking and camouflage, rabbitsticks, making rope from plants, and much more! All while having great fun with great people!
Stone Age Camp for Kids is a day camp for kids age 7-13 that runs Monday through Friday. Monday through Wednesday runs 10am-5pm. Thursday is a full day with an evening campfire (families welcome) followed by a sleepover. Friday morning we’ll get up and make breakfast, have a great day and finish at 3pm.
July 5-9 Stone Age Camp for Kids is a girls only camp in Appledale, Slocan Valley. This session is presented by Angela Saffire Jones of Cirque du Play and Chris Morasky of Pathways School. Angela brings a wealth of knowledge, skill and experience to the program with her hands-on fun activities. Chris Morasky, British Columbia’s top Ancient Skills instructor, has over 20 years experience teaching across the US and Canada.
July 12-16 Stone Age Camp for Kids is a boys only camp and will also be in Appledale.
July 26-30 Stone Age Camp for Kids is a boys and girls camp in Nelson on a beautiful acreage at 9 Mile on the North Shore.
Space is limited for these camps, so register early. Cost for the week is $175.
This is a great opportunity to experience hands-on the “lost” skills of our Ancestors while having tons of fun! So get wild this summer! You will never look at modern technology the same way again!
