The Spiritual Journey

There is a place where knowing exists and where there is certainty without “all the facts”.  Profound truth arises of its own accord and one cannot believe those insights were ever not commonplace.

With each insight comes this realization that old insights are only half the truth.  We begin to see other people seemingly walking through the same gateways of learning as we once did.

Other may mock the changes, though they represent fundamentally the most important thing at that time.  An attempt is made to suppress the desire to share insight with others and that does not last.  It is a soul burning on its own power, generated by thought, and automatically shedding light on all those around.

There is an increasing need to refine personal behaviours.  A major part of spiritual growth includes understanding our impact on others.  Doing harm invokes remorse in the solar plexus that cannot be ignored.  Injustice is felt too, and often the pain/suffering of all humanity becomes known as intimately as our personal lives.

We begin to question why such transformation is happening.  It tends to raise questions about the soul’s purpose for being.  With transformation comes a profound desire to serve the greater good.  Realization is a gift of truth.

Most importantly are surrender and the willingness to give up the personal path of materialism for good.  Trust is required too, as we give ourselves to this great journey.  The strength we grip onto is the vision of all humanity at peace.

What begins as the desire for self realization becomes the faithful service and devotion in life for the appreciation of life itself.  Power is granted to those who have the discipline to wield it.  Great insight and knowledge exists which only realizes its potential in the spirit of goodness.

It is a crowning moment when we can see the awesome and vast limitless potential of existence, yet remain humble to it.  Everyone has an innate sense of their needs and understanding for what is happening in their lives.  Problems can all be overcome with a devoted desire to understand the essence of what we face.  Answers are closer than we may think.

From a young age there was a knowing that the individual’s problems stem from the same root at their solutions.  It seemed so easy to be helpful, knowing this profound yet simple truth.  So much of the way our society fabricates solutions out of external remedies reinforces non-belief in the Self as an all knowing transcendent being.

One also begins to understand that the current life is but a fragment of a soul life that extends beyond time and space.  Selfishness looses its hold as the main motivation for action.  Selflessness takes on a new meaning that actually includes the Self, because to give of ourselves is to receive as well.  Never knock the positive feeling of being charitable.  It is like fuel on the fire of selfless service.

There is no monetary or material gain that can exist higher than spiritual self realization.  The material reality exists as it does for a reason.  Our motivation for money is not wrong, nor is the accumulation of material wealth bad.  Rather, it is where we place the emphasis.  Without the appreciation of a Self that is actualized in the infinite consciousness of being, our appreciation is of the surface.
