Upcoming Brain Gym Training
Written by: Local Practitioners
To be facilitated by Ric Levendosky, licensed Brain Gym instructor, practitioner and educational consultant for 17 years.
As a movement-based program, Brain Gym is centered around 26 quick, easy, and energizing movements and activities ~ some of which are derived from the profoundly important developmental movements of infants from within their first 3 years after birth. These activities effectively improve your performance creatively and cognitively, reduce stress, increase your physical coordination and ability to focus, assure competency, self- confidence and more heart in your personal interactions and many other areas, and help to overcome mental, physical and emotional blocks of most any kind.
Above all Brain Gym is experiential. You will learn the activities and techniques of Brain Gym by observation and practice, and after completion of the 32 hour course be able to apply these new tools for work upon yourself or anyone else.
In this course you will experience and learn:
• Water’s important function within the brain/body system.
• How to reduce stress and excessive vulnerability.
• How to readily set meaningful goals.
• The significance of “noticing” as a means of sensing your body’s internal messages.
• The 26 movements and activities that integrate both brain and body for in-creased body, spatial and directional awareness and that improve vision, hearing/ listening, balance, posture and memory.
• The 3 dimensions of our brain, heart and body experience.
• How to increase mental, emotional and physical balance and energy for improved reading, listening, writing, creativity, whole body movement, physical coordination and for better ability to communicate, to organize and to grasp hold of and participate in life.
• Muscle checking as a means of instant feedback about the state of the body, heart and mind.
• How to increase self esteem, motivation and positive attitude.
• How to joyfully empower yourself and others.
