Week of June 27

Tip of the Week:

Summer is south as north is winter, west autumn and east spring. South means close to ground and centre where the hearth fire brings warmth and light, energy, growth and life. Sometimes south and the sun are too hot and we must move away from the flame. A cool body requires fresh thoughts, breezy emotions and cooling foods and other key ways to remain cool in the heat. Whether it is our choice of food, thoughts, activities or emotional involvements, some are hotter, some cooler, some wetter and some dryer. Oriental and traditional western medicine recognizes this basic wisdom, but sophisticated science medicine forgets it and makes complicated what is simple. In so doing, money is made and people are sick. Such is the state of our current society. Out of tune and touch with nature, we are exploiting our environment and a handful with the biggest and most undiagnosed pathologies will inherit the hell that will become our planet if we do not tune into nature again. This begins with the basics and simply choosing wisely around maintaining a simple and balanced equilibrium is a good place to start. The nature of self-nurture is now a revolution and by participating you create health and wellness and peace now and invest in a brighter future as well. Whatever ails you, tune in and take a natural approach. If your situation is chronic you may require modern medicine but making it a lifestyle will prove to have many negative side effects, as the commercials inform. The sign of Cancer is about nurturing and the disease is a reflection of a lack of self-nurture at either the mental, emotional, physical or spiritual level. When Cancer research takes such a holistic approach it will find answers, solutions and cures which imply a whole life approach, until then research will make some people rich and a lot of people sick.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)
Balancing the urge to be cozy at home and out on an adventure requires some negotiation. Perhaps you will go and snuggle in somewhere or maybe stay and embark on an adventure via a book, movie or crafty project. Either way, you are curious and want to learn. However you play, give yourself extra protection. Venus in Cancer alongside the Moon is an indication of the need for some extra tender loving care. Mercury will follow suit next week and the feeling for self nurture will increase. If you notice you feel a little extra moody, you are probably neglecting some real needs. Set some boundaries and take care of you!

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)
You are a clever one, making use of all your skills and talents. As the sign of personal wealth, is it any wonder the word talents was used as a term for currency. Time is art and our offerings are for trade, all of them! Refine your abilities with the patience of a craftsman for love and money. If aspects of your world are dissolving and you feel a little lost and confused, focus on those areas where you feel sure and quarantine the floating debris as you can. Communicate with an added dose of logic leaning towards the rationale of how good it is after all. Count your blessings and the love and other returns will flow.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)
Counting our blessings is truly a practice of the blessed. Before and beyond the parts is the seamless whole. Turn to it in your imagination to feel deeply secure. Your sensitivities to every sight and sound is a sign of your astute mind, yet may cause you to put things in too many boxes. The sign of Cancer is about attending to genuine needs. Nutrition and all forms of nurturing are implied. It is a veritable duty to take good care of ourselves or else someone else will probably have to. Above all, nurture your spirit and attitude because health begins and ends in the mind/body. Whatever is happening, breathe in gratitude, forgiveness and release. Think and act in and through your heart for peace sake.

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)
You are excited to start new things and explore new territory now. Your focus may be a little blurry yet and this is a better time to sample, inspect and experiment than commit. Feel things out well before you reactively jump in. Measure twice and cut once! When Pluto re-enters Capricorn in late November the pace will deepen and quicken again as well. This is your big chance to reconsider everything. Maybe you will deepen your resolve or perhaps change your mind about a few things where long-term implications are implied. Ask within, take enough time and trust your intuitive feelings. If necessary, seek council for long-term planning, like that which good Astrology offers.

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)
Ahhh… the moments of presence, meditation, contemplation and dreams are truly the sweetest of all. Sure you are a hero and a leader and a showman too, yet amidst it all you are a child, regardless of your rank, roles and age. Magic moments beneath the trees where wonders await invite dream visions into consciousness. Balancing this with other social events and gatherings is the other side of the story. Mercury will be in Gemini until July 10 and Venus enters Leo on the 12th. Get all your networking done by then because after that you will only be available to ardently express your love and whisper messages of prophesy and other enchantments.

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)
Nurturing your friendships and affiliations is an act of your soul. Unity and connectedness is the true nature of things, though mind perceptions divide. We are family, you, all your brothers, sisters and me. Amidst the drama and traffic of worldly expressions, connect and stand back to embrace it all. This may sound like a mystical call, which it is. Meanwhile, nurturing the connections you share with family and friends will prove inspiring if not necessary. Creative expansion of your fronts and vision is featured as well. This implies the need for discipline and the willingness to learn new skills. Take a few risks to increase your popularity.

Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)
Who in the world do you think and feel you are? These and other such questions are important now; your self concept and self worth and the keys to your success or failure. If you think you can’t you are probably right. If you feel your power and life force, affirm and be grateful for it, others will believe it too! This is the way of mind power and where possibility can overcome probability. Access what confidences you do feel and affirm your priorities. Major shifts and moves are at least brewing on the home front and these changes are related to your career, social life and/or reputation. See the bigger picture and be patient with the process of developing deep security.

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)
Nurturing your soul feels like the right thing to do. This includes inquiry into your perceiving mind. Who has eyes to see, ears to hear and a mind to think? Why, consciousness does! You have it and I do and they do too. Acknowledge the source like a computer appreciates electricity. Our brain functions like a computer but anyone who thinks that it can function with a power source is mistaken. Even batteries represent a separate infrastructure beyond the unit. Moving beyond mere materialistic notions, reach for the eternal creative spirit. You probably have not explored all of your talents yet. Access your source and express your self.

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)
There is a time to sow and a time to gather and a time to consume and collect. Then there is a time to release and clear and eliminate to make room for more cycles of the same. In this way life is like a game and similarly there are some important rules. Let go and let Goddess have her way. Yes, Mother Nature operates by way of cycles. Take a circle and draw an equal cross in it and you will have the four cardinal points of any cycle. You can further divide into eights and so on but the fundamental division will already be done. Although it is summer outside, you may feel like you are in a mini autumn period. Or call it spring cleaning if you like, but just do it and clear the way for a new day.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)
Is there anything but relationships? A rich interwoven tapestry of energies, waves, elements and textures is the feel, taste and touch of life. Nurturing healthy relationships is not merely a duty it is the very structure of reality. Balance the conditional of father love with the unconditional of mother love. This is actually a core life theme for you. It includes, perhaps above all, learning the art and value of negotiation verses compromise. The former implies win/win deals. This is an expansive time for you and your power potential is growing, yet you are wise to curb excessive ego assertion. Contemplate carefully before your launch.

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19)
The art of life is wrapped up in a life of health. When nurturing our constitution becomes our top priority we blossom like flowers in a fertilized garden. To nurture our whole self we must know how to feed and cleanse our body, mind, heart and soul. This is the formula of practical spirituality. While tending to these varying levels of our being is an ancient knowing, we here in the west are only now remembering about it all. Fortunately this revolutionary wave is sweeping through our society. The pill pushers are reacting yet destiny will win and they will lose, at least eventually. You know that you are a multi-dimensional being; now be responsible to it.

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)
To play everyday on the stages of our world is to remember that you are a divine child. What is an adult but a grown child; what is a soul but a seed of God? Whether we flower once and wither or display a perennial bloom, we are but seeds of energy and consciousness at play in the game of life. This is an ancient wisdom and from it has sprung forth phrases like, ‘to enter the kingdom of heaven one has to become like a child again’. This implies innocence and awe and spontaneity and authenticity and trust and flow and so on. Growing up to be serious and mature is a type of delusion. Becoming more responsible and empathetic is good, but remember, life is for the living and healthy measures of fun, play and pleasure is implied.
