Tip of the week:

Scorpio is truly a deep and complex sign. As the 8th sign of the Zodiac and co-ruled by both Mars and Pluto, Scorpio is very much about power. At its lowest reach it is about control over others, elitism, ruthless ambition, cold heartedness, coercion, manipulation, secrecy, black magic, organized crime, violence, horror, murder, pain, suffering and death. At its highest reach Scorpio symbolizes self-control, elite ability, genuine contribution, sexual passion, convincing proof, enticement, investigation, white magic, co-operative and collaborative effort, medical surgery, pleasure, heroism, protection, relief and rebirth. Scorpio truly is black and white with plenty of grey in-between. It may be said to be the sign of greatest extremes between the negatives and positives of life. A sign of complicated paradox, on one hand, and creative leadership on the other, Scorpio makes a much better friend than enemy. Since Scorpio is one of the 12 primary archetypes, everyone has at least some measure of Scorpio in their Astrology chart and everyone encounters some and perhaps even all of the characteristics listed about for better and worse, at least indirectly. If you feel you are missing out just go to your local video store and you will see just how obsessed Hollywood is with all themes Scorpionic. In as much as these are reflections of significant portions of the subconscious of the collective culture, we have reason to be concerned. Perhaps it is a means of bringing the darkness to the surface to be exorcised, but maybe it is simply an obsession with lower modes of power and fear mania. Adding to the above list, Scorpio negatively represents psychological splits, divisions, imbalances, obsessions and pathologies. Positively, psychological healing, transformation, liberation and purification represent the high side of the Scorpionic process. Given the current state of affairs in the world, we really are in need of awakening to and activating the high side of Scorpio. Let us all hope that the new U.S. president agrees.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

Your passions and ambitions are running high, but how is your health? You are moved to do some research for precise answers and this will continue for a few weeks. Travel and other cultural interests are gaining your attention. You are happy to advance slowly and cautiously where even a hint of doubt exists. The waxing Moon will coincide with key connections severed and/or deepened.

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)

Some very passionate players are gently but surely pushing you to take notice. You are willing to negotiate yet may feel reluctant to proceed without additional information. Your overall approach is philosophical and you want to weigh in future considerations. On the other hand, as responsible and sober as you may feel, you also want to be fair. Outline your long-term priorities.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)

Cleaning, cleansing and purging balanced with consolidating; securing and preparing should be keeping you busy. One way or another, you may feel the need to be working harder than usual these days. It would also appear that your responsibilities are increasing. You are wise to persevere now. Work with the process and be willing to identify and overcome lingering doubts. Clear the way!

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)

You are now in a creative power cycle. You may find yourself in a good position to make important choices and decide how you would like certain things to be. Still, keep an open mind and take an innovative, cooperative approach as well. If you are entering into new ventures you feel good about then proceed, but if you have any lingering doubts listen well before it is too late to back out!

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)

Some big changes are shaking close to home. These may include financial challenges. It is likely that you must figure this one out yourself and it may be unwise to seek support from a third party anyway. Take a more patient approach and make sacrifices if you must, especially if it means working overtime. Whatever is happening, see it as part of a long term plan to create more stability.

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)

Your energy levels should still be running pretty high. However, you may be dealing with some doubts and fears. If so, recognize that it is probably your imagination working overtime. On the other hand, take an independent approach to review the facts. Also, aim to creatively diversify your focus. Make a clear list of your goals and objectives and aim for higher ground by year’s end.

Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)

Money, possessions, security and so on are important themes, especially now. You are ambitious to make some key investments. Investigating the prospects is likely. You want to get the most for the least but also want a sure thing. Be careful that your ambitions do not exceed your will and the actual resources you are willing and able to invest. Proceed only with sure footed steps now.

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)

Your focus is sharp and your aim is pioneering. You want to enter into new territory somehow but may find yourself at a crossroads. You are wise to act with full integrity now as the lower road could prove especially costly later on. If you can justifiably balance a few options at once and keep everything in line, you could have it all. Somehow, you are assertively pushing for change.

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

Sometimes it is more important to conceal your riches and ambitions than at others. This is a good time to take a conservative approach. Better to patiently wait than charge ahead, until the timing is just right. Make the most of this cycle with rest, retreat and perhaps some key behind the scenes investigations. Your willingness to face inner demons now is ideal and will increase your inner strength.

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19)

Your power potential is rising quickly now. However, in order to realize it you must be willing to learn with focused discipline. Things are not nearly as big and exciting as they will be, but you are taking off. Allow for the inner changes; persevere with what feels right and trust in the flow. Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)

A quest to realize a greater measure of balance in your life is the call now. You may feel assertive, philosophical and psychological all at the same time.
