Reel Youth Film Festival
Wednesday May 2 7:00pmThe Reel Youth Film Festival empowers young artists to express their creativity, entertain audiences, and share their visions for a more just and sustainable world. The festival is a model for community engagement, a celebration of youth culture, and a showcase for the richness and diversity of a new generation of filmmakers.

Come celebrate this gala event, free for youth, with a selection of short films from our talented young filmmakers around the West Kootenays, and an international program that The Reel Youth Film Festival pulls together from across the globe – all made by filmmakers 19 or under. Chosen by a youth jury from over 1,500 submissions and 100 countries. This collection will show you the world through the eyes of an incredibly gifted group of emerging filmmakers.

This screening is made possible by the generous support of the Nelson and District Credit Union, the City of Nelson, the Kootenay Co-op, Columbia Basin Trust and Work Safe BC.
