Wilde Stalions!

Keanu’s zen action hero character – John Wick, Actress and Activist, Olivia Wilde’s smart comedy for women, and Claire Denis’, confounding and rewarding art sci-fi, all play this week at The Civic Theatre.
Keanu Reeves will kick ass in his quiet way as ‘John Wick’ in ‘Chapter 3 – Parabellum’, on the split with, ‘Booksmart’, ‘The high school movie smart girls have always wanted’.  The Mount Sentinel Secondary School Performance and Media Academy Student Film Festival screens on Monday, Jun 17 and Weds, June 19th. And for our Thursday Night Movie, a second film for the week directed by a female powerhouse; Claire Denis’ (Beau Travail, 35 Shots of Rum), first English language film, starring Juliette Binoche and Robert Pattinson.

Teen Take Over
June 29
The Civic Theatre is looking for youth volunteers!
Do you enjoy films? Maybe looking to acquire valuable skill sets for building your resume? Needing to get some volunteer hours in for school? Or, perhaps you just love buttered popcorn!
We’re forming volunteer teams specifically for Friday evenings, solely run by volunteers ages 14 – 17, who’ll preform volunteer Usher & Membership roles. Interested persons who want to participate are invited to attend our Volunteer Orientation session on June 29th from 11am – 12pm. Then, if wishing to sign up to be on a team, join us for an intro training session after the orientation from 12pm – 1pm!
