First Responders Partner up to Support MADD Canada
Nelson Police Department, Nelson RCMP, BC Ambulance Services, and Nelson Fire and Rescue are partnering again with MADD Canada in the launch of the Red Ribbon Campaign.
MADD Canada’s Red Ribbon Campaign consists of red ribbons and red ribbon car decals being distributed during the month of December to sober drivers. The red ribbon symbolized a person’s commitment to driving sober and serve as a tribute to those who were killed or hurt in impaired driving crashes.
“Impaired driving crashes are 100% preventable“ said MADD Nelson Community Leader Pat Henman.
The Nelson Police Department are wishing everyone a safe and sound holiday season and encourage people to plan ahead when taking part in festivities.
