Tip of the Week: Mercury entering Leo and Mars entering Virgo is a spotlight
theme this week. The transits of the ‘minor’ planets, which include Mercury,
Venus and Mars and, although they are technically classified as ‘the luminaries’,
the Sun and Moon indicate the more common aspects of the ever-unfolding plot.
Interestingly, even little old horoscopes reveal that there is something to this
notion of celestial influence, to the ancient notion of ‘as above, so below’. That is
why I have committed to writing them for almost 30 years now consistently every
week. Of course, I am fully aware that they can be regarded as the ‘outer shell’ of
more serious astrological study and practice. I would know because I do both. So,
‘Thank You’ for being here, because your continued interest and recognition that
the rhythms and outer synchronicities are real is an important contribution to the
silent revolution that materialism as a core truth is a delusion and that we do
indeed live in a conscious universe.
How these cycles of destiny manifest in our daily lives is so… esoteric, that many
simply do not ‘believe’ that they do. That they do is an ancient recognition of
synchronicity, even though that term is quite new and introduced by Carl G. Jung,
the famous, holistic psychologist. Dr. Jung studied Astrology and Tarot and other
such subjects, generally frowned upon and even deemed ‘forbidden’ by more
orthodox academics. Among other things, what the world has learned over the
past few years is that a high I.Q. does not equate to a high E.Q. The latter refers to
emotional intelligence and its close, elder sibling, intuition. As humans, we are
designed to have the capacity empirical sensory experience, instinct, logical
reasoning and rational, empathy and intuition. Empathy and intuition are what
can be categorized 6 th senses. A deeper understanding of these is associated with
the notion of mind as a field that we live in, or which surrounds us and which is
activated by our energy centers or chakras. Of course, people ‘educated’ by
mainstream academia usually do not ‘believe in such realities, even though the
opportunity to experience them is readily available.
This believing factor is quite interesting. Upon closer observation, it can be
understood to represent a clear lack of intuition or open, liberated creative
thinking. Ironically, many of these unbelievers deem themselves scientists. Yet,
rather than genuinely conduct observational research and experimentation, they
idly ‘trust the science’ and reactively reject any notion of the influences of the
planets based on the bias of their paradigm. This is a clear example of bias,
cognitive dissonance, hubris and arrogance all wrapped up in the same bundle. In
this regard, many who claim to be scientists ‘worship at its alter’ or hide behind
notions of conclusive, empirical studies, more than they realize. Yes indeed,
outside of the process of genuine observational experimental, modern science is
as much a religion as any other, complete with blind faith and dogma.
The march of science aspired to the lofty goal of pure objectivity. It pushed hard
to achieve this and, in so doing, make important discoveries. However, in the
course of time, neuroscience or the science of how the brain works emerged and
it has proven that all perception is ultimately subjective. Albert Einstein
contributed to this focus on better understanding the brain by way of the
elucidating the ‘law of relativity’, which essentially asserts this subsequent
understanding that all perception is ultimately subjective and that the notion of
pure objectivity is actually a myth.
Yet, there are many who continue push through in hopes that they will finally and
ultimately prove that pure objectivity is a fact. This pursuit is generally regarded
as the quest for what is referred to as ‘the singularity. Imagine, all the so-called
brilliant minds are seeking the singularity while even an average metaphysician (=
beyond physics or the inner dimensions behind the outer manifestation)
understands that existence is dualistic. The singularity does exist, but it does so in
realms or dimensions that ‘transcend’ the physical, material, dualistic dimension.
The singularity can be described as source and is more commonly regarded as
GOD. Interestingly, the metaphysical principles and experiential and experimental
process of realizing it can be accurately understood as spiritual science, which
transcends religious belief, both the kind that emphasizes deities and avatars and
the kind that pretends to uphold pure objectivity, otherwise generally referred to
as empirical science.
Here is a LINK to a production made by percussion artist, Glen Velez that is
designed to use sound that will genuinely allow you to feel each of your 7 main
energy centers or Chakras. Listening to ‘hear’ is less the point. Rather, the focus of
this experience and experiment or, more accurately, this exploratory discovery is
based on focusing to ‘feel’ in a sensory way. While those of you who are very in-
tune with your body in a sensory way will feel the sensations immediately, for
some it may require a second or third round to be able to feel the beat and pulse
in each center. In addition to proving to yourself that you have these energy
centers and that sound is the key to ‘feeling’ them, empirically or with literal,
sensory sensation, you will also effectively stimulate and activate them. The value
of this stimulated activation is that it will connect you to you r body more fully
and their activation is foundational to whole health.
Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 19)
Home and family combine with fun, games and the prospects of new love. Even
long-standing relationships could experience a reset for romance. Otherwise, the

new with an emphasis on social engagement.

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)
In some respects, you feel surge of energy with abundant power drive supporting
you to be more assertive. On the other hand, you are happy to be busy behind
the scenes and yearn for quietude. This is the perfect combination to be busy in
your creative space and/or to enjoy private time with your lover.
Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)
A career push continues to guide your focus. By now, it has entered a phase of
experimentation and invention to meet the challenge of the changing times. This
trend will continue so trust your hunches that it is a good time to consider new
approaches and to wow the world with a new you.
Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)
A philosophical mood lingers, despite the fact that you also feel moved to get
more attention, or at least more action, in your public and professional life.
Taking an alternate approach is also indicated. Perhaps you do simply want a
promotion, but one that comes with a new career altogether.
Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)
Some rather deep activation sparked by the Gemini New Moon a couple of weeks
ago is invariably producing deep changes within you. Life shedding old skins, the
process may not be comfortable, but there is a high side to feeling like you are
able to let go of stagnant thought patterns, attitudes and approaches.
Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)
Your relationship life continues to undergo changes. You may notice that deeper
themes are brewing and it may feel like a part of you is dying. Yet remember,
rebirth of some kind follows death, and the reference is metaphorical. Engage by
entertaining new possibilities and exploring new approaches.
Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)
A steady flow of shifts and changes in your overall lifestyle ideally include both
improvements of some kind and an emphasis towards deeper and more intimate
engagement with the significant other(s) in your life. With your passions running
so strongly, you are bound to make a big impression.
Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19)
A creative and playful mood prevails. It is one that is calling you out to explore
new territory. Independence is a keyword and is perhaps the best was to engage
this energy pattern. Be as resourceful as you can and be careful of expectations of
how others will meet you; ready to adapt quickly to other interests.
Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)
The emphasis on home and family continues. This could well include practical
projects. Giving more than you might feel the desire to is part of the plot. This is
where an added measure of determination and strength of character to support
your resolve is required to see you through to completion.
