The Waning Moon will begin a new round with a New Moon on July 5. This means that both Canada and the United States will have this waning factor present in their respective Solar Return Charts on July 1 and the 4th.
The return of the Sun to the exact degree it was at birth, equating to the signature moment (or when the nation was born in this case), offers remarkable insight into the year ahead. It is that much clearer for actual individuals admittedly, due to the complexities associated with an entire nation, yet the principle is the same.
On a personal level, it strongly indicates the focus of the year, the main themes at play, the opportunities and the challenges, and their timing. The value of this kind of insight can prove quite empowering indeed, both in terms of strategic planning and realistic assessments, not to mention the age-old notion of ‘forewarned is forearmed’.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 19)
Amidst a strong inclination to hover close to home and ideally, to share quality time with family, which will linger throughout July, you will experience a spike in the playful and creative inspiration departments as Mercury enters Leo on July 2. So, how might you seize the moments to make the most of this special time?
Taurus (Apr 20 – May 20)
You are probably covering a lot of bases these days and you can expect this trend to continue yet. While there is a strong creative impulse at play, and one which will increase, you are likely also focused on doing what you can and must to feel more secure. Making improvements is the key phrase in this regard, whether of your home or on yourself.
Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)
Taking account in one way or another is keeping you busy and will continue this week and for a couple more. While finances are likely part of the plot, including where money allocation should be adjusted, your focus may include other areas like thoughts and feelings shared with significant others to increase an overall sense of balance.
Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)
Expressing yourself more fully continues as a theme. This could well amount to creative activities, especially with Mercury entering Leo this week. Yet the emphasis includes sharing your deeper thoughts, feelings, and perhaps long-held secrets too. With the New Moon destined to occur in your sign this week, now is the time to ‘clear the past’.
Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)
The pleasures and realities of home and family continue in the spotlight. The realities invariably include responsibilities in terms of maintenance. Making key investments in this regard could emerge as more important starting this week as Mercury enters your sign. You may also feel more inclined to socialize if just a little more.
Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)
Nurturing a stronger sense of your emerging individuality shares association with your public and professional life. You are determined to increase your exposure and the opportunities that accompany doing so. Of course, such moves usually require extra effort and this is probably true now. Take new initiatives to design a whole new focus.
Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)
Something new is brewing and it is a big pot indeed. There are indications that some strong indicators will be evident this week and then over the next several. Shift happens and this one will have an impact on your public and/or professional life and your social status in general. Circumstances might require that you keep an open mind about the process.
Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)
Nurturing a vision for a healthier future and lifestyle that aligns with your core sense of individuality is strong on your mind. The deeper answer you are seeking is: what choices and direction constitute the higher road, and what the lower? Returns for prior efforts are coming in and you are willing to invest, but you might require more information or guidance.
Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)
Something of a metamorphic process continues and is likely to deepen yet. Themes of rebirth are indicated. Yet, these could be accompanied by death, as is generally the theme associated with metamorphosis. This ending need not be literal, but real all the same as with the death of old beliefs, self-concepts, and inherited or socially conditioned attitudes.
Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)
Cancer is the sign associated with your most intimate relationships, both personal and professional. The emphasis on both is percolating strongly now and this trend will continue and deepen. Positively, you will experience new beginnings in your relationship life. Variety is indicated and it looks like it will occur in your daily routine.

Attending more fully to your health and that of significant others is in the spotlight. This could well lead to new developments in your lifestyle rhythms. Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)
A creative cycle continues and will enter its next and deeper phase this week.
