Do you enjoy leading a team to success? Join the team at Shambhala Music Festival as a Manager at one of our Food & Beverage Outlets!

We’re currently seeking Managers for our various Food & Beverage outlets during this year’s festival.  Managers will be responsible for overseeing their outlet operations, conducting themself and their crew in a manner that will maximize their outlets potential by offering superb customer service.

•  Position Dates: Outlet Manager schedules run between July 14-30, 2025.
•  Contract Length: Contracts range from 1-2 weeks depending on the team, so please let us know what you’re interested in & available for when applying.
•  Positions Available: These Manager positions are on the Pasta Joint, Pucker Up, and Beverage Kiosk teams.

Responsibilities:
•  Communicate effectively with the Food and Beverage Manager.
•  Liaise with other departments as the main contact for the outlet.
•  Attend Manager meetings and provide reports outlining progress.
•  Coordinate and train the team in preparation, space upkeep and maintenance, personal cleanliness and production expectations.
•  Maintain a clean, organized and professional workspace.
•  Assess and evaluate the skills and abilities of the team.
•  Oversee overall stock levels, manage distribution of stock.
•  Account for any damaged or spoiled stock.
•  Assess equipment, report any maintenance or purchases needed.
•  Work with cashiers to maintain accurate records and tender amounts.
•  Review all end-of-shift reconciliations; follow up on any discrepancies; provide insight/notes as to what was experienced that day and why, for the purpose of documenting trends.
•  Help develop and implement policies and procedures.
•  Analyze processes and seek ways to improve efficiencies and eliminate theft risks.
•  Ensures all Health and Safety policies are adhered to as per the IHA Health and Safety regulations.
•  Review sales trends and make suggestions for future planning.
•  Understand the limits of the site and work within the parameters.
•  Fluent use of radio.
•  Ability to provide friendly interaction with guests over short periods of time.
•  Ability to work with cash and items of monetary value.
•  Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Include:
•  Foodsafe certification is required.
•  At least 2 years experience in Food & Beverage, and Cash Management.
•  At least 2 years experience Managing a team of 10 or more.
•  Experience working in office administration or finance as an asset.
•  Experience in Food and Beverage management is an asset.
•  Previous experience working in a Festival setting is an asset.
•  Effective management skills and training ability, can delegate tasks and motivate workers.
•  Excellent communicator. Able to interact effectively with all levels of chain of command.
•  Strong organizational skills.
•  Capable of multitasking and prioritizing.
•  A committed individual and self-motivating.
•  Comfortable handling cash and monetary items.
•  Outgoing, friendly, and customer-service oriented.
•  Courteous, Competent and Persuasive with a proven ability to handle stressful situations.
•  Ability to foresee and trouble-shoot potential issues, making recommendations to increase efficiency.
•  Flexible and able to respond to changes in working conditions.
•  Comfortable working long shifts, early mornings, and outdoors.
•  Patient performing repetitive tasks.
•  Ability to work in a culturally diverse work space without personal judgments or bias.

Pay Rate
Salaries are based on the amount of hours scheduled:
•  Pasta Joint (July 20-29, 2025): $3000 salary
•  Pucker Up (July 20-28, 2025): $2100 salary
•  Beverage Kiosks & Ice Sales (July 14-29, 2025): $3200-3500 salary
