Once a month, Wait’s News / Wait’s On Nelson (323 Nelson Avenue, Nelson BC) holds a Free Community Meal

This month the meal will be held on Tuesday, April 16th at 5:30 pm

Word on the street is that they will be serving Lasagna Yum!!!

This meal is for anyone who would like to attend

Tango Blossoms!

Hi, everyone!

We had a wonderful group of passionate dancers at our Tango Immersion event last weekend, and Diego and I were thrilled to be a part of it to witness breakthroughs, smiles, and overall improvement in everyone’s dancing! Let’s continue to spread the tango love and keep learning.

Important dates for this month:

Wednesday, April 3rd: Lesson and Practica
Saturday, April 6th: No lesson/Practica
Monday, April 8th: Lesson and Practica
Venue: Casa de Maria
Cost: $10 per person

Some of us are heading to Victoria for the Tango Marathon next week, and I will be taking my spring break to visit family for two weeks.

I will keep you updated on when I resume classes and practica, and it looks like it will be on Saturday, May 4th!

In the meantime, keep practicing your solo exercises: pivots (torso, hips, legs), ochos, and balance exercises. These are all crucial for gaining freedom:

Freedom to feel
Freedom to express
Freedom to get creative

Also, remember that tango is all about connection, improvisation, and co-creation. It’s not just about mastering steps; it’s about infusing your unique personality into the dance.

There’s a special treat coming to Rossland and you don’t want to miss this amazing opportunity!!  Payadora Tango Ensemble.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to hear live tango music played by a famous group on Tuesday, March 26th, at the Rossland Miners Hall. The show begins at 7 PM and runs until 10-10:30 PM.

There’s an opportunity to dance Tango during the show.
Any dancers wanting to join in the fun can contact Nora Lilligren via Nelson Tango Peeps on FB or reply here, and I will pass the message along. Please let Nora know by Tuesday, March 12th,  if you’d like to partake in the dancing.

Non-dancers are encouraged to attend to take in the beautiful music.

Lastly, remember that we have our Lesson and Practica tomorrow. 
My intention is to have lessons and practica on Saturdays (starting tomorrow until April 6th)  and every other Monday (March 11, 25, and April 8th). 

Lesson:  7:30 pm – 8:30 pm 
Practice Time: 8:30-10 pm
Location: Casa de Maria ( please request for the address)
Cost: $10 pp (or sliding scale as needed)
*** please don’t make the $$ stop you from dancing!

***Newbies and seasoned dancers, single or couples are welcome.
***Please bring indoor shoes  that slide for pivots (no rubbery sole) 
*** Come 10 to 15 minutes early to get settled and warmed up
*** Please register when you can by replying here to save your spot. Space is limited.

Please note that Monday, March 11th, will be our last class at Studio Alive, and all classes and practicas following will be held at Casa de Maria!
