We are SO excited for this: a one night only performance starring Lucas Myers and a cast featuring Keith Page Nelson City Councillor, Adam O. Thomas, and a host of names you’re sure to recognize. They are performing an on-book reading of the radio play ‘The War of the Worlds’ made famous for inspiring an alien-invasion frenzy in 1938.
Even better? It’s in the Bunker.
Tickets on sale now (Eventbrite and in person) and they’re going fast!
Spring Break is next week! What’s a middle schooler to do?
The Nelson Museum Art Camp afternoons are designed for bigger kids in mind! Facilitator Anita Levesque will be exploring the ‘value’ of art – What happens when we elevate art to a place of preciousness? What happens when w shift the value from owning to creating?
Participants will transform found materials into art, create art and let it go (art cards!) and collaborate on a shared zine to take home. For the art lover looking to explore different ideas and expand into a more advanced understanding of creating, this camp is a MUST!
Visit nelsonmuseum.ca for info and to register. There are still a few spaces left in the afternoon sessions
