Oxygen Launches Registration for Contemporary Art Education Programming for Youth

Oxygen Art Centre (OAC) is excited to launch their youth art education program for the whole of 2024.

The program features 3 semesters with 2 different classes per semester: Rock/Paper/Scissors is for youth 11-14 yrs and Worm/Hole is for 15-18 yrs. The courses are designed by incredible local artist instructors who are teaming up to create unique learning experiences. The multi-disciplinary, contemporary art approach to these programs encourages risk taking, research, and exploration.

It is an amazing opportunity for youth to collaborate and receive mentorship from local professional artists, and to connect and have fun creating with other young artists in their community,” says Education Coordinator Natasha Smith.

To register and to learn more about the semesters, classes, and instructors, visit Oxygen’s website. Registration takes place through Google Forms on a first-come, first-serve basis. Class sizes are small, ranging from six to ten students in each.

Registration for Oxygen’s 2024 youth education program is now launched and will remain open until classes are full. Some courses have limited capacity so don’t wait to register!
