The Brooks aqueduct is also referred to as the ‘River in the Sky’.
It was built between 1912 and 1914, spans a 3.2km valley and sits 20m above ground. It was built by the CPR’s irrigation division and at the time was the largest concrete structure of its kind in the world. It ceased operation in 1979.
