The Moon comes to Full in Virgo on February 24 at 5 Virgo 23. Interestingly, where last month’s Full Moon in Leo on January 25 was at its ‘perigee’, or its closest approach to Earth which caused it to appear larger, (aka ‘supermoon’), this Full Moon on February 24 is at its ‘apogee’ or farthest point which will make it appear quite small, (aka ‘micromoon’).
Many will refer to it as the ‘Snow Moon’, but this is not entirely accurate as different indigenous cultures refer to it differently. After all, not all of them experience snow in February. It is also known as the Sucker Fish Moon, Full Hunger Moon, Eagle Moon, Deep Snow Moon. It also represents the culmination of the Chinese New Year launch process. So, the Dragon is now in full flight and breathing fire…
The real deal regarding the Astrology of the Full Moon however, is how it lands in your chart. Whatever its apparent size, it is the sign and degree that matters most. The chart regarded ‘as a whole’ is ever important when it comes to interpretation.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 19)
Spring is not here yet, but you could feel it is time to do some clutter clearing and to get more organized. This could apply to any area of your life. The goal is to sharpen your focus. The tricky bit is that you might feel a little lost and overwhelmed and will find it difficult to focus as you might like. Perhaps you can at least get organized enough to outline your intention.
Taurus (Apr 20 – May 20)
This Virgo Full Moon will bring inspiration to your cause and perhaps some edgy resolve, as well. The culmination guides you to review what is working and what is not. This includes deepening on relationship fronts where it really matters and aligns with your inner truth, and letting go of other involvements, or at least taking a break.
Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)
This Full Moon is occurring in your solar house of home and family. This means that changes of some kind are shaking in these departments. By extension, these are connected with your overall lifestyle and the realities associated with it. Saturn in Pisces, meanwhile, indicates that your greatest strength now includes surrender and letting go.
Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)
Changes in your overall mode of perception are being activated by this Full Moon. Circumstances are challenging you to adapt to what is beyond any prior beliefs, notions, agendas, assumptions, or alternate plans. Positively, the overall dynamic is inspiring a larger vision and is inviting creative cooperation. These are the silver linings.
Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)
Practical considerations are the features of this moon. In the background, you are wise to realize that you have entered a process of deep change and even of transformation. This means how you both generate income and manage your financial affairs are directly connected with this process. New methods, strategies, clients, audiences, jobs, careers, or locations are all possible themes.
Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)
Since this Full Moon is occurring in your own sign, it will likely trigger some mode of reaction. More positively, with awareness, you could turn the reaction into a response. Either way, it is associated with your most intimate relationships and your lifestyle rhythms in general. Let the people you love know just how much you do so and appreciate them with full gratitude to harness the magic.
Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)
This Full Moon light is destined to illumine aspects of your subconscious mind. Don’t let the micro size fool you, it will likely sharpen the focus on certain specifics. On the other hand, matters may not be as light as you might like. As well, you may be contending with fog where you are trying to focus. It might prove wise to slow down and rely on perseverance over impatient perspiration.
Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)
Your sense of individuality is in the spotlight. It includes deciphering who your friends and allies are, and who are not. You have entered a creative and playful cycle with Pisces time, yet the Full Moon is meant to help you also decipher what are dreams, fantasies, illusions, and wishful thinking. Asking yourself such questions can seem rather stark, yet the truth will set you free.
Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)
The reflected light is shining on your career and social status in general. The emphasis is on practicality, yet also upon what constitutes your resources, gifts, and talents. Some of these may be apparent, while others are likely just hidden. Work on deciphering what constitutes the list on both the ‘here and now side’, and on the ‘maybe, how, and what do I need to do’ side.
Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)
The combination of Pisces and Virgo is illuminating your entire scope of beliefs and perceptions. A golden key to your deeper understanding is to realize just how much imagination plays a role in human perception. As the sign of realism, your challenge includes the realization that you do not see things as they are, but as you are. This is true for everyone, so turn assumption into discussion.
