Insights, Inspirations & Forecast:
Last week, the focus was on the influence of the Lunar Nodes now in Aquarius and Leo, having completed their 18-month cyclic evolutionary process in Pisces and Virgo on July 27.
This week, the focus shifts to Eclipse season. It begins on Wednesday, August 12, with a New Moon Solar Eclipse at 20 Leo 02. Part two is the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on August 28 at 4 Pisces 54.
This year’s Eclipse season occurs in the context of a 4-planet stellium, (or grouping of 3 or more planets in a sign), including Mercury, Jupiter and the Sun and Moon. Jupiter in Leo especially was a principal indicator that summer 2026 was destined to be hot, both literally and figuratively.
The hot, dry weather patterns producing droughts in North America, the U.K. and Western Europe most notably have contributed to record-breaking amounts of wildfires, bringing tragedy and sorrow to so many people. The heart of humanity is again challenged to endure the pain of these tragedies, and our hearts go out to those affected.
It clearly is not a new crisis on the planet in the past decades. Specifically, forest fires began to escalate significantly around 2001, with data showing that they now burn more than twice as much tree coverage each year compared to that time. This increase is largely attributed to climate change and human activities. However, other suspicions as to their causes are also circulating as ‘conspiracy theories’ with emphasis on chemtrails and geoengineering, which can neither be idly ignored. Deepening the tragedy, notions of the causes are also the source of division among people.
Now, with a Solar Eclipse about to occur this week at 20 Leo, which shares direct association with Mars-ruled Aries, we are facing yet another prospective series of harsh events. The Moon at this degree can be understood as reactive and dramatic. Another indicator of the gravity of probable intensity is due to the position of Mars at 0 Cancer in the Solar Eclipse Chart, which I have provided for you here below.
Mars in Cancer can be deemed harsh and is especially so when positioned at 0 degrees. Because this is its status at the moment of the Solar Eclipse, it is featured in the context of it. Since Solar Eclipses can be understood to linger until the next Solar Eclipse, about 6-months from now, we all could be in for a pretty rough ride.
While there is more that can be said about this August 12th Eclipse, the gist of it is that it indicates a potent and harsh influence. Where it will occur and how, is the determination of deeper levels of destiny not so easily determined. The main point is that things are about to get more intense.
