Insights, Inspirations & Forecast:
The Moon’s Nodes changed signs on July 27, shifting from Tropical Pisces and Virgo to Aquarius and Leo. Travelling retrograde to the usual counterclockwise direction of the orbiting planets and Zodiac Signs, they constitute very significant features of Astrology.
Here is some brief background: The Moon and all the planets have a North and South Node. They are determined by where and when in their elliptical orbital cycle they cross the plane of the ecliptic. Interestingly, this is ancient knowledge and reaches back at least 5000 years ago!
This cyclic process, especially regarding the Moon, is directly related to solar and lunar eclipses. In turn, these are features of a much more complex cyclic process referred to as the Saros Cycle, which also finds its origins in the ancient world, based on astronomical knowledge shared back and forth, especially between ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, and India too.
The synchronistic manifestation of this process will effectively include the decline or disintegration of the themes associated with Leo due to the position there of the South Node. While the South Node was in Virgo for the last 18-months, at both individual and collective levels, the norm or habitual lifestyle rhythms and patterns, including their association with who and how one associates and engages in the various aspects of the business of life, have changed and have effectively been replaced with new patterns and rhythms.
For example, at a collective level, AI has become a veritable new norm. It is true that it has been around for years, but now, as if suddenly, it has emerged as a new norm. What also has occurred during this time, though many might not be aware and others refuse to admit it, is that the gap between science and spirituality has been narrowed. The work of Jason Padgett, which has gained much popularity during this period, presents a good example.
With the North Node now in Uranus-ruled Aquarius, and with Uranus in Gemini, the sign of communications, (the theme of which extends to all 3 Air Element Signs: Gemini, Libra and Aquarius), we can expect to see a significant acceleration of the influence of AI in the daily lives of people the world over.
The role of the South Node is that it effectively eliminates, extinguishes, purges or disintegrates the themes associated with it. Since it is now in Leo, where it will be for the next 18-months, we will all both experience and witness the disintegration of ego expressions, in accordance with our respective destinies, again at both individual and collective levels. Positively, this process could prove liberating for some, like losing unwanted weight. However, for some, it could amount to the noticeable disintegration of their overall status and role both in their personal and social lives.
While this process of ego-disintegration is a common aspect of life, it stands to prove extra noticeable, producing major waves of change through people’s lives and with collective ramifications as well.
The fact that Saturn in Aries turned retrograde on July 26/27 as well, adds to this overall dynamic. Positively, it will push people to double down for the sake of veritable reinvention, or what can be described as graduation, as they break free from the grip of stagnant and restrictive ego patterns of self-concept, perception, interpretation, attitude and approach in general.
Pluto in Aquarius will also get extra activated with the North Node entering Aquarius, as will Uranus. In turn, Uranus has been forming what is called an ‘Upper Trine’ (120 degrees) to Pluto since July 17. But that was just the first of 3 exact aspects between them, stemming from their conjunction in 1965/66! Yes, the roots of this dynamic are literally 60 years old, and deep… The second Trine will occur in late November 2026, a third in mid-June 2027, A fourth Trine around May 10, 2028, and although the final or 5th alignment will not be exact, it will come within 1-degree in late February through April 2029. So, the overall process associated with this dynamic theme of destiny will be with us for a few years!
An Upper Trine is symbolically associated with Sagittarius, the sign of the higher-minded pursuit of knowledge and truth. Philosophy, ethics and principles are core features of Sagittarius. On a more subjective level, Sagittarius is symbolic of self-honesty as a means of seeing through and beyond belief, biases, assumptions and prejudices. Positively, the Trine will inspire orientations to these at a collective level. Uranus is symbolically associated with critical, creative thinking and intuition and is described as the planet of illumination, but also of sudden events and unexpected, radical changes.
Near the end of this 18-month cycle, in late 2027 especially, the North Node will cross paths with Pluto. Among the main influences, it will effectively produce a strong pull on humanity as a whole to become more aware of the delicate ecology of our planet.
