Insights, Inspirations & Forecast:
As mentioned last week, the Scorpio influence is already strong and has been since about Autumn Equinox. Scorpio is symbolic of purification processes, which can include deep cleaning, purging, recycling, and renovations too. Themes of transformational change, endings and renewals, and even death and rebirth are some of the common ways of explaining its influence.
The New Moon on October 10, occurs at 11:50 am EDT at 17 Libra 22. It too carries strong Scorpio influences, largely due to Mercury and Venus both in Scorpio.
Venus is especially potent because it is the ruling planet for Libra and it is also Retrograde (Rx). The basic way to interpret the Rx factor is to imagine the planet is heavier, more cumbersome, and impactful in terms of adding pressure to whatever it ‘touches’. As well, Venus is the ‘apex planet’ or the energetic outlet of Mars opposing Pluto, both of which share rulership of Scorpio.
Since this lunation cycle, (which continues until the next New Moon in Scorpio on November 8/9 depending on time zone), will overlap with the Scorpio time, which begins on October 22/23, we are getting a quadruple scoop of Scorpio this year. For now, the influence of this cycle carries a revolutionary theme, contributing to the transformational theme already underway.
How any given event will influence any given ‘person’ is unique (which equates to any legal entity, individual persons, but also to entire nations, states, provinces, cities, institutions and any legal business entity, even clubs and teams, provided they are deemed legal entities). In this regard, Astrology can be understood as a form of ‘archetypal chemistry’, wherein the destined influence interacts with every distinct ‘person’ uniquely.
While these influences can have a generic effect as well, the finer details of it will ever differ from person to person, if even just slightly. This can be a complex principle to understand. In a way it can be regarded as a miraculous paradox that celebrates the distinctions associated with individuality. For example, no two people have precisely the same DNA and every person has a unique and distinct voice sine wave signature, and so on…
Another strong Scorpio theme includes Pluto turning direct in Aquarius on October 15. When a planet turns retrograde (Rx) or direct (Dx) it can be understood to be moving very slowly, and in this regard, also carries much added weight, and pressure, in accordance with its position in the Zodiac and other factors. Among these factors is Neptune in Aries, the sign of pioneering and blazing trails…
Generally, with this strong Scorpio theme at play, along with the revolutionary influences of Uranus in Gemini and Neptune and Saturn too in Aries, transformational change is destined to occur and it is occurring and will continue at least for the rest of this year anyway. Yet, in the bigger picture, it should be noted that Saturn will be in Aries until April 2028 and Neptune will be until June 2038! So, do not assume this entire process of change will end soon, and we can then ‘return to normal’ as if such a thing even exists. After all, the only way forward is, has ever been and will ever equated to change.
An interesting example of the current Scorpio theme on the world stage is the rebirth of political power in Quebec, Canada, where the Parti Quebecois assumed a majority government. The last time this occurred was in spring 1981. So, 46 years since and it has openly asserted that it will push to have a referendum to decide if it will separate from Canada and become its own country! If this happens, it could have a domino effect and similar drums are beating in Western Canada as well, including Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
In the shorter term and closer to home, the more personal question to ask is: how is all this Scorpio change and transformation thematic activity destined to impact me? Upon reflection, you are probably at least noticing and even experiencing various flows of change. It could reveal an old pattern asking to be altered once and for all, or it could be a death and rebirth of some other kind, both of which can prove painful. Yet, the best we can do is cooperate as consciously as we can, because resistance is futile.
This is where I can help you to better understand the destiny influence of Scorpio at this juncture in your life.
