See below for more details and then register to reserve your spot!Place Finding: Locating, articulating and amplifying your unique experience in the BC arts sectorThis unique professional development workshop facilitated by Carla Stephenson of Rural Arts Inclusion Lab and Elliott Hearte from Arts BC will provide us with an opportunity to understand where our work fits in the wider context of the sector. Many of us are struggling with how to articulate the work we are doing around equity and telling our stories without being performative or exploitative. This workshop will help us place our work in the larger sector context.BC Arts Council Community OutreachAre you looking for information about grants for Community Arts Organizations? Are you part of an Indigenous organization that creates Community Arts projects?If yes, book a time to chat with a BC Arts Council Program Advisor! Krista Patterson, Program Advisor for Community Arts Organizations, is available for short (10 min), one-on-one appointments at the both the Taghum and Kimberley Kootenay Art Connect events.

Pre-registration is required as appointments are limited. For BIPOC artists and administrators:Carla Stephenson of Rural Arts Inclusion Lab is facilitating a zoom session specifically to hold space for Black and Indigenous artists and administrators, and arts workers of colour, on June 12 at 2:00 PDT/ 3:00 MDT. If you are a BIPOC arts worker in the Kootenays, please join us. If not, please share with your colleagues. Register now.

For arts, culture and heritage organizations:For arts organizations, there will be a zoom session on June 8 at 2:00 PDT/3:00 MDT. This is a chance for arts sector colleagues to regroup, assess where gaps continue to exist within our systems of support, and map out how we can help each other to serve artists and audiences more sustainably. Register now.
